Join us this Thursday for a Juneteenth Potluck, all UCWAZ CWA Local 7065 members and friends are welcome to participate! This is an opportunity to meet fellow union members and bring friends who may want to join! Please bring your favorite dish and beverages to share (please label if it is vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.)!

  • Why: Dating back to 1865, the holiday commemorates the day when 250,000 slaves in the state of Texas, which became the last bastion for slavery during the final days of the Civil War, were declared free by the U.S. Army. In our current political climate, where our freedoms are eroding, now is more important than ever to come together and fight back!
