[TUCSON] Prideteenth Movie Night

The Splinter Collective in Tucson invites you to join their PRIDETEENTH (Juneteenth during pride month or, rather: pride celebrations during the month of Juneteenth) celebration, a showing of the film "The Watermelon Woman."

Cheryl Dunye’s “The Watermelon Woman” is a pioneering film that blends documentary and fiction that is set in the 90’s,.  Dunye stars in her own film which has a storyline that explores race, sexuality, and history through the lens of a young Black filmmaker's search for an elusive actress from the 1930s.
